We are very proud and happy to announce that Hilltech S.A., supplier of IT systems and products in the field of industrial automation, have implemented our product, the innovative seven-core fiber. This is a unique application of Polish multi-core optical fiber technology. In this instance, our optical fiber is used to connect two server rooms providing seven times greater bandwidth compared to the standard used single-core optical fibers.
The pioneering installation of multi-core fiber enables HillTech to become superior with their IT systems which can operate faster and more efficiently and become more resilient for the challenges of the future. “We decided to cooperate with InPhoTech because we are interested in breakthrough innovations. Technology is progressing very fast, so we want to be ready for what the future holds. It is also important for us that we utilize a Polish product of advanced, absolutely unique technology” says Wojciech Maślany, President of the Board of HillTech. Tomasz Nasiłowski, President of the Board of Directors of InPhoTech is also welcoming this: “I am grateful for the trust and our cooperation, which is crucial in the implementation of new solutions. Undoubtedly, the effect of our joint collaboration is a milestone in the use of Polish new generation optical fibers on an industrial scale ”.
InPhoTech’s cooperation with Hilltech begun in 2020. The optical fiber installed in the production plant in Stalowa Wola enables a sevenfold increase in the capacity of the bandwidth between two server rooms. The implemented optical fiber has successfully passed the assessment and testing phase. Thanks to its special structure, the multicore optical fiber allows the network upgrade in terms of replacement of seven standard one mode optical fiber to just one fiber. The sevenfold increase in bandwidth answers the current needs and challenges of the telecommunications market, enables financial savings, and facilitates upgrades of infrastructure solutions. A properly functioning installation of this type is a phenomenon on a global scale and a huge success of Polish technical thought. This is why InPhoTech's products are patented within the key international markets.
“On the one hand, we are developing fiber optic technology, pioneered in Europe by Polish scientists, on the other, we are effectively responding to the global challenge of optimizing data transmission and increasing the capacity of overloaded networks. We have managed to break the technological barriers faced by many engineers in laboratories around the world. The successful cooperation with Hilltech confirms that our optical fiber facilitates the reliable transfer of a huge amount of data, which is of key importance in the implementation of the 5G network and the realization of the Internet of Things concept ”- emphasizes Tadeusz Tenderenda, Vice President of InPhoTech for Business Development.
HillTech, led by President Wojciech Maślany, specializes in advanced sales and payment systems and providing industrial automation products. It is also an integrator and supplier of devices for the Industrial Development Agency to the largest Polish factory of protective masks under the #PolskaSzwalnia project.
InPhoTech is a Polish research and implementation company that applies innovative products in the field of optical fiber technologies into the industry.
The company has been awarded, for its research on the seven core optical fiber, in the Polish Product of the Future competition and had been nominated for the Economic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland. The IPT-Core optical fiber also received a prestigious grant in the Phase II of the SME Instrument under the Horizon 2020 program of the European Commission for the best European innovation projects.
Additionally, InPhoTech has established a subsidiary company, IPT Fiber for the mass production of multicore optical fibers.
We hope that our fortune will continue! Other product implementations are well underway, for instance, advanced fiber-optic sensors. Also, our company is already working on the IPT-Core upgrade, increasing the number of its cores to 19.
